The Quebec Symphony Orchestra Presents the Video Game Symphony
The Video Game Symphony is a multimedia event that combines the power of the symphony orchestra with the immersive and interactive world of gaming. In order to produce a large-scale event that reflects the vitality of Montreal’s video game industry, music from video games developed in Montreal and in Quebec city will be performed for a large audience by the Quebec Symphonic Orchestra and conductor Dina Gilbert. The event will take place on November 22 and 23 2018, at the Grand Théâtre de Québec.
The concert will be a high-octane multimedia event. In synchronization with the orchestra, there will be big-screen projections of video game sequences. At certain moments, to add an interactive dimension to the concert, someone from the audience will be invited to come play a game live on stage. Their performance will be projected on the big screen and will be accompanied simultaneously by the orchestra. The host of the concert is Stéphanie Harvey (missharvey).

The composer Maxime Goulet is the initiator, the designer and the artistic coordinator of the The Montreal Video Game Symphony. The main arranger is Benoit Groulx. The project was premiered by the Orchestre Métropolitain during the Montreal 375th city anniversary.
